Just trying to compare to other people as my car seems to be running slower then it should. I am using the new G-Tech SS for my testing (which had been very accurate on my old car at the track).

Current Mods:
91 Octane Predator Tune
4.10 Gears

It was about 75-80 degrees out when I was doing my run, and fairly humid. Best I could get is a 5.6 with 2.2-2.3 60foot times. I was hitting 60mph just at the top of 2nd gear with the 4.10's. I feel with these mods I should be easily running around 5 flat. I also have 18" Rims and Nitto 555 tires.

Any suggestions as to why I am running oddly slow? Anyone else have their 60 foot and 0-60 times for their cars?

Thanks

My G-Tech 1 recorded about 5 - 5.1sec avg. Bone stock. In the winter time (back in December - January) I was getting VERY nice #'s but won't mention them until I run the car at the track in the winter. Any hoo... this summer at the track, my best 60 ft was 2.0 sec, 1/8th was 8.9 secs and 1/4 was 13.7 sec. The track times were on a stock motor but I have sportline springs. I had the spare tire still in the trunk too. I'm sure I could have shaved off another tenth or two, but I was happy with those times.

When I launched on the street with the G-Tech I was feathering it and launching around 1800RPMs. At the track I was babying the car too much and was getting 14.1 sec 1/4 mile times. I finally romped on it and dumped the clutch at about 3000 RPM's and noticed a HUGE difference in the launch. The whole front end felt like it was comming up and thats when I cut my 2.0 60 ft. Oh, I took out my HC trap too, but thats all.

I'm a firm believer in G-Techs myself and have proven mine at the track as well. Just try launching different and son't spin at all!

I've gotten 0-60 in 4.9 on my G-tech with current mods. Along with 60' times of 2.2, I'm not that good at launching, the car is better then me and has to make up the difference. It was a cool morning several months ago, at 60 degrees. Heat will kill some times. My Lightning is running hi 5's right now, but will get much better in the winter.

Check mods below, but the tune and CAI made a huge difference.

I've also ran my Gtech Pro RR at the track, and it was accurate to the time slips within .09 every time.

With 4.10's, you should be right around 5, if not hi 4's.

On the track (w/auto trans), my 60' times are in the 2.0x range (best 2.03), with an 1/8 mile best of 8.81. Sorry, no 0-60 times for you.

Interesting you guys mentioned the temperature makes a big difference. When I first got my car and it was bone stock running on winter tires and it was around the freezing mark, I could knock off 0-60 times of 5.1 pretty easily with gentle launching and light shifting.

Now I have mods, launch and shift harder and I am running slower. I didnt' think the temperature would affect it this much. Just want to make sure nothing is wrong with my car now.

I run about .1 slower every 10 degrees increase in temp.

Yea, when it was cold here in Austin (about 40 - 50 degrees) on my G-tech I pulled a few 0-60's at 4.4sec and 4.5 secs anh a few other sub 5 sec's. My 1/4 mile times were 12.89 12.90 13.0 13.0 13.0 13.3 13.3, etc.... very very fast compaired to now. I REALLY want to get some times in at the track this winter and see how much faster the car really is. I would say it's a good .5 sec slower in the summer. I would agree on an average of .10 sec for every 10 degrees. That sounds reasonable. I know those times sound a bit silly but the car felt VERY fast in the cold and I was hitting fast times consistantly, not freakishly. Now on my G-Tech I get about 13.6 or so in the 1/4, so knock off about .5 tenths and it will get me back in the times I got this past winter, which is about the temperature it was. I fully believe stock 05's can get mid/low 13 sec pulls in cold weather. Mine was bone stock back then with HC trap removed.

With my G-Tech I was getting 4.9's as the best times.

Bone stock.
