68 mustang VS 67 GTO?

So a friend of mine bought a '67 GTO and a mutual friend of ours starts stirring crap up saying that my friends new aquisition will waste my car. So the question I'm putting towards you all is: who would win in a 1/4 mile drag race? My mods are listed in my signature. As far as I know he's got the 335hp non hi-po 400 and...well that's what I know I'll post pics and see what you can gather, I know his intake is aluminum and maybe his water pump as well, but I don't know if either of those are factory. Here are some pics.

In stock form I know his weighs 3500 and I've weighed mine and it's 3000 with me in it with a full tank.

So???

For some reason I couldn't add this picture to the original post but this is his car, IMO the classiest looking muscle car ever

yours would win as the cars sit now.

Why do you think his intake is aluminum? Looks painted blue like the rest of the engine which would leave me to beleive its cast iron.

Maybe I'm color blind but that intake looks like a satin finish aluminum, I see no blue well I guess I can see it on his pump. I'm excited my friend finally got a cool old car

Just way to many variables to say with any assuredness. Both cars pictured look kind of rough, beat on and modded over the decades, so who knows? A wild guess might say the Stang, but I wouldn't put any money on that.

Even stock, back in '67, there were a lot of variables to: which motor, tranny, rear end, options, etc. Presuming a stock GT390 going up against a stock GTO 400, that would be pretty close actually, probably more a drivers race.

Imma have to go with the stang on this one that GTO looks pretty stock to me. Heavier stock vs lighter modded.

I do know he has got a 4 speed but the rear end ratio is unknown. I don't know how many miles his has but my car has only about 12,000 on the engine/tranny/suspension since I've rebuilt them. I raced a cutlass with a 400 in it when my car was pretty fresh and it was no competition.
