So.....if I'm reading this right, the red accent interior package is available on all mustangs now? Please someone confirm that it's available on the Tungsten silver. I've already ordered from military sales; I think I'm going to have to spoon feed him though with updates. They seem to get all of this info later than a regular Ford dealer. Thanks for posting the order guide!

This is really minor, but does anyone know if these are the Pony Stripes that will be included in the Pony Package?

I ordered from ENCS too, in April... originally was gonna order an 05, but obviously they stopped taking orders for that, so I got the 06... delivery date of 14 October... every day goes by so slowly! I am wondering myself how this process is going to work with ENCS, as far as making changes/updates, based on the 06 stuff that just came out (I ordered everything under the 05 info.) Let me know what you find out, if you don't mind. I'm home now (was in Qatar) so I guess I'll have to do all the coord. via email or phone. I think i'm gonna go with the Tungsten Grey with ICAP too,
cheers,

There is a chart in the order guide that shows the combinations of exterior and interior colors avaliable, as well as which color tape stripes are avaliable for the V6. According to this, ICAP will be avaliable with Black, Torch Red, Redfire, White, Satin Silver, and Tungstan. You can't get the red leather with Screaming Yellow, Legend Lime, Windveil Blue, or Vista Blue.

What do you guys think the standard 16" steel wheel (on the V6) will look like? Do you think it will look like the Bullitt?

All I want is the freakin' Bullitts on a V6--I don't really care what size they are!

It seems the only way to get them is to order the Pony Package, which I don't want to do, because I don't want the spoiler or the tape stripes...

Wow, that really stinks that Ford is only putting 235s on the optional 18s. This really goes to show how cheap Ford is getting with their cost cutting measures. 255s would only cost maybe 20-40 bucks more per car, would improve performance and handling, and improve the looks as well. I mean come on, it's an optional item, I'll pay the $40 bucks more for the 255s!

The Pony Package is an obvious attempt to pump up V6 sales.

If Ford really wants to sell more V6s they should have added some performance upgrades to make the V6 more appealing to enthusiasts.

Here's what should have been added to the Pony Package
Dual Exhaust
More Horesepower, ~250 HP
Larger brakes form the GT
3.55 limited slip rear end
GT suspension

There is some GREAT news in the 2006 order guide!

Look at page 1, the order mix for the IUP (18G) is now 75%!

Looks like almost anyone who wants IUP will be able to get it on an 06 Stang!

I originally wanted it but couldn't get it without paying much more for a dealer to dealer trade (or so I was told) THe one I got has everything else I wanted to I went for it. I actually think I like the all black interior better (Of course now that i have it i will say that, but i really do think that) Would be nice to have the Message Center though.

Thanks Ed....

Things I noticed

-235/50ZR18s on the 2..yes 2 18" rims.
Canadian order guide didn't have the second 18" rim...yet...

-Tungsten Grey allows the Interior Colour Accent Package.
Might be a mistake on the canadian one not allowing it.

Boomer do you have order guide for canada? (can you post or give me link)

I downloaded options guide from (http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index....=canadian&st=0)

Does anyone have the 06 Canadian order guide. If so, is there a spoiler delete option for 06 and are the two 18" wheel options available?

I can't post it, but there IS (!!!!!) spoiler delete on the Canadian 06 order guide (13D IIRC). Also, there is only ONE 18" rim on there thus far, the 64E. No picture, but I assume it's the fanblade (same code as US).

Hope this helps.

Kristina,

Thank you for the very fast reply!! You made my day. I hate that spoiler and I'm glad we now have the option of deleting it. I just don't understand why Ford is using a 235 tire on an 18" rim? I was hoping for at least a 245, oh well. Anyway, it was worth waiting a year, at least i can get the colour I want (tungsten) with spoiler delete and 18" wheels. have a super day.

Haha not a problem. When the order guide came out my dealer said "are you sitting down?" - after he told me about SD, I literally cheered out loud at my desk I spent so much time fighting with Ford Canada about this that this makes my bump to 06 bearable!

The 18"s are a nice bonus, especially since I won't be able to afford the aftermarket wheels I want for a while...for my 05 I wasn't going to bother paying for upgraded rims of the same size, but I actually like the look of the fanblades so it's a no brainer. I agree that the tire size is cheesy but what can you do...

I'm glad that you get the colour you wanted now - I'm just happy that they didn't delete white else...heck hath no fury...or so the saying goes. :P

cheers,
kristina

As for the Limited Slip Differential, I didn't see it being an option for the GT. Looks like standard equipment for the GT, like the '05. Another '06 myth removed!!!

Did anyone see anything on the Tire Pressure Monitering system in the 06. It was listed on the Fleet Order Page but I didn't see it listed in changes form previous year on the order guide. So dose this mean no TPMS for 06.

I'm sure they did it for bad weather drivability, not cost cutting. 255s would be bad on snow.

I'm wondering about the pony package - will it have 235/55-17s, or 215/60-17s?
