The rest of the 2015 track season

Just signed up for some more events.

1) Waterford Hills OTD#6 on August 23
2) Grattan Raceway with 3BallsRacing September 6

I might do one more OTD in October, I guess we'll see. I'll post pic/vids in this thread as my events come up.

Getting the car track-ready this weekend. I'm swapping wheels/tires, putting the Carbotech XP10s pads in the front and checking the rotors, fluids, lines etc. It will stay like that for the next 3 weeks. I'll have to drive with the windows up, since the squeal from the front is unbearable on the street.

Anyone else planning to go to either of these events?

Got back from Waterford Hills Raceway today. Good times!

The track is short and slow, compared with the other 2 Michigan tracks, but very technical and still plenty fast to get yourself in trouble. I feel pretty tired after running out there all day.

Met lots of cool Mustang people today too plus as always at these events lots of cool cars. Good day.

Still working on some video, but few pics for now:

Sounds like fun! A mediocre track day is far better than any other day

I might have an opportunity to track a GT350 and a GT350R soon... Not to steal thunder but super excited...

When's your next outing? Couple more weeks till mine

Grattan raceway tomorrow. I'm pumped. Can't wait to see how my lap times compare to last year. Last year my best was 1:34.7 so I'm hoping to improve a little on that. One thing that worries me is that I only have about 4mm of front pad lining left...

Grattan was awesome with 3 ***** Racing. Not so many cars in my group, so I had room to practice. Knocked off 1.5s of last years best lap time so now my personal best here is 1:33.2

Nicely done! Feels great to get faster... need those slicks

Anything else planned this season? I missed my last planned event (only instructed, didn't really drive) cause my clutch failed driving home from work a couple weeks back. But...

10/14 I've got a Palmer Motorsports day
10/26-10/27 - hitting both the NJMP tracks (Lightning and Thunder)
11/9-11/10 - running VIR Full and VIR Grand courses. Wicked excited about this event!!

That will close this season for me. I think I'll be at about 18 total days and about 2200 track miles. Next season will be less, as I ate up a lot of tires this year... but it's been a blast!!

That's it for me for the year, I had 3 days which is not bad, and I had a blast at every event. Next season I will have all my suspension mods, so the goal will be to re-learn the car first.

Wow, you still have some good track time left. I'm jealous about VIR, it's on my bucket list. Have a blast at your next few events!
