Spare tire for 2012 V6 with 19" wheels

Best I can figure is that there is no kind of spare available for the
19" wheels on my Mustang. I have the V6 with the "PERFORMANCE PACKAGE".

I think there is a post elsewhere the rim will not fit because the front brakes are different.

Anybody have a suggestion?

Roy

The spare kit CR3Z-1K007-A looks like it will not fit.

the catalog shows that its for the base model mustang with 17" or 18", not sure why that is, but according to vin and catalog this wont work for you mustang.

Because of the different brakes on the performance package, the 18" wheel won't clear the caliper. There isn't a 19" spare tire and wheel combo that will fit in the well in the trunk.

Your option is to go with the 18" spare and if it is a front tire flat, change the rear tire that is good with the spare, then change the flat front tire with the one you took off the rear.

THANKS for the reply. That seems to be the best (only) alternative. But on another thread there was some question if two different size tires on the rear might damage the limited-slip differential, if drive for an extended distance. What is extended 50, 100, 200 miles ? Ahh, I see what the dealer says. I wonder what FORD recommends.
