Roush GT vs Roush Stage 1?

Hey guys, this is probably a stupid question, but what is the exact model name of this Mustang?

Is that just a "Mustang Roush GT?" And if so, did they make that from 2005-2009? I love how it just looks a lot more like a stock GT compared to the Stage 1. And since it probably isn't supercharged, does it just have the same specs as an 05-09 GT? Also, how many of these were made? I've never seen one until today.

It has a Roush window sticker, so it is probably an actual Roush. It has most of the body kit stuff, but doesn't have hood scoop or wheels.....SO it is probably a Roush Sport. The Sport is an appearance package with exhaust, so it will perform about the same as a GT. Production numbers and more info can be found at this link:

So is it possible to get that package installed by Roush on a stock 05-09 GT? Or is that just a model that Ford sold already pre-assembled like that picture?

You would of had to have sent it to Roush, but you can only get 2012s done now. You can buy the parts and have them installed, it just won't be an official Roush.

****, that sucks. I don't think I would want aftermarket stuff that isn't the real deal. I'm guessing they don't show up that often used? I've been looking online and around my area for months at Mustangs for sale and never saw one of those yet.

I have a 2011 Roush Sport. All it comes with is an appearance package. You can buy the appearance parts and do it yourself on a GT. You can find all the parts at www.roushperformance.com or even check ebay.

Depending on your budget, you can find one like mine new for about the same as a premium GT if you search around. Add in rebates and or x-plan and you might get an even better deal.

The parts would still be the real deal, you just wouldn't have the Roush serialized plate on your door/engine bay.

It's still listed on their site...

http://www.roushperformance.com/mustang_sport.shtml

So even though it has the $6500 price, I wouldn't be able to send it to them now to have that done?

You can order it and do it yourself, or have a shop do it. Even if they did do it for you they wouldn't number it.

Ah I gotcha. So back in 2005, if I would have had a GT, I would have sent it to Roush to do these mods but now that it's older, I have to just buy the package and have it installed by someone else?

Yes, exactly. You just don't get the numbered plaque. You can see it in the bottom right of this pic
