Now the 1700 mile '01 Bullitt seems like it could be legit.

I have to agree unless there were a lot of non moving miles on the car. Maybe it was in a showroom and everyone with their mama sat in it.

Ask Scott, loved his '96 Mystic! One of my favorites!

I thought about that too after reading the carfax. It was manufactured and shipped to the original dealer in Feb of 1996, and wasn't offered for sale in dealer inventory until Aug of 2013 with 176 miles on it.
But still, that's a hell of a lot of wear on that seat, compare it to the passenger seat.

Absolutely. Odd that they think no one would notice that on a supposedly 300 mile car.

So I sold one of my cars today, and I've been looking at a Jag F-Type R. Anyone know why it has 2 piston calipers? Its got 15 inch rotors, but only has 2 piston calipers. Seems kind of strange with the brakes that are on cars today.

That does seem strange. Should be at least 4 pistons. Maybe that's an upgrade. You sell the 70?

I don't think so, the 15" brakes were listed as an upgrade from the F-type S, but were still listed as 2 piston calipers.

Sold my 70K mile '89 SuperCoupe that has been sitting out back that I couldn't decide what to do with it.

Don't recall seeing any pics of the 89?

That's just weird, Should definitely be 6 pistons. Which makes me think of a new line...instead of the "my Mountain Dew has more liters than your Honda", now you could say "the brakes on my sports car have more pistons than your import's motor does!"

If I call you baller, it's an insult rooted in insane jealousy because those F-types are some BMF's!

I don't have many of it, it needs a good wax in the ones I have, it looked really good when cleaned up though. I had it for many years, drove it daily for a long time, bought it from the original owner with only about 20K miles on it in the late 90s. I held on to it because I thought that maybe one day me and my boy could tinker with it together, but I finally realized he had no interest in working on cars and I just let it sit.

Well you'll have to wait a couple of years, I'm not buying anything new again, especially a British car. I'm not baller enough to lose that much money in depreciation. I'll have to buy a used one in a few years, if I get one, and don't change my mind by then, lol.

Ah man, I would've tinkered on it with you!

I hope my boy likes working on the car with me one day...

Has anyone watched any of these Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways episodes on HBO? Man, there's some really good stuff on there. First time I've watched a whole episode was tonight, and it was about Nashville. Loved it.

They don't always turn out like you would like. He learned to drive in a built 600+ rwhp blown Cobra. Burnt a clutch and flywheel up in smoke while learning. He did so good in school that I offered to buy him whatever he wanted for graduation. A GT500, Zo6, 911 Turbo, etc. You know what he chose? A ****ing Acura TL. Yes, a ****ing 4 door Japanese **** box.

You know what his reasoning was? "Kids at college will make fun of me and pick on me for driving a gas guzzling car and say that global warming is killing all of us because of what I drive". And this coming from a goddamned mechanical engineer (that I hoped would go to work for Ford at some point). Freakin' kids, just can't figure out where they're going to go in life.

Yeah it's good stuff. Their doc Sound City was good too.

Foo Fighters' Wasting Light was the last full album I had any interest in buying.
