Personally I dont get sport fanaticism, I understand cheering for someone you know on a team, but to cheer for people I dont personally know, and to cheer for one team where through out the years they just switch people over and over and over, that basically the only thing that is the same is the name and the logo, skill/people and tactics all will differ, so why cheer for one team for all these years? Its an concept that is irrational in my eyes.

Why do I cheer for the Cowboys? Because I did as a kid I guess. Because of their location to me in Texas. The players change teams and play for money and I don't know them. The owner sucks. Why do it even care I ask myself. I don't know. Just because I used to.
But yeah it's not like I know the people. It's just because their ball club was the closest to me at the time and it's what people do.
If aliens landed I think it would look a little weird all these people sitting in stadiums paying upwards of a $100 a ticket or more for what?
