2015 Mustang GT Premium

Hello everyone!

New to the mustang community and forums! Finally purchased my dream car, the mustang GT ! I have never owned a brand new car or a car nearly with this much HP!

I am happy to say it's safe in underground parking and only taken out when there is pavement (from Canada, Nova Scotia)...the rest of the time I'll be using my GF's car haha!

I love the car! Unfortunately the first night I had it, the undercoating that was done to it( told them I didn't want it but they did it anyways and didn't charge me) had dripped on the headlight. I removed it with soap and a sponge but it left thin small scratches on the headlight only visible up close. Can't even feel them on the surface. The dealership said they would try to remove it and rubbed some white cream on it yet they still remain. More upset with myself for not having the dealer remove the undercoating lol. Non the less I still love the car!

Look forward to learning lots on this site and sharing what I can!

Thanks all!

If anyone has suggestions on removing the small hairline scratches that would be much appreciated!

Congrats. If a Dealer undercoated my car and I told them I didn't want it ... and they did it anyway .. even if it was free .. I would not take the car. I didn't even know people undercoated cars anymore since the factory does a nice job sealing them up.

In hind site I would of probably got mine under coated. Fords tend to rust.

It's actually a light brown that kinda does look red now that you mention it! Not to bummed about the undercoat, the amount of salt on Nova Scotia roads is crazy so I can use all the help I can get with rust prevention on top of continuous washes!

More bummed about my headlight haha!

It's hairline scratches on the headlight not paint. I brought it to a detailing place today and they rubbed a product similar to PlasticX on it and it didn't have any effect. You can't even feel the scratches on the surface. Hopefully that product didn't do any damage to the existing UV coat.

Looking for suggestions! I'll upload a picture for you guys.

Thanks for all the comments so far!

Excuse the water marks as I got caught in a snow storm on my way home.

You need to look really close to notice them. Again I cant feel them and I almost feel every time a shop (dealership and auto detailing) tries rubbing this "magic cream" they make it worse.

I could be over reacting but its a new $50,000 purchase! Any insight on treatment without jeopardizing my UV coat? Anybody happen to live in Nova Scotia to lend a hand haha!

That interior color looks similar to the 2010-2013 'Saddle' (which I have). Looks really nice. Enjoy. I would get Ford to replace that headlight (cover). At their expense. We have a Ford Rep on this forum, she will help you if you want to pursue it, name is Deysha.

Sweet GT. We all get scratches and do our best to minimize them. I use Griots Garage Plastic Remover and Griots Garage Plastic Polish. The tail lights on the 2013-2014 are a haven for scratches and it does a great job.

That's a crazy amount of scratches for a brand new car.

Once you get them out, consider having the lights covered with 3M film.
