Dodge Demon
More powerful than the Hellcat, the Demon will debut at the New York Auto Show.
Dodge will introduce a new variant of the Challenger SRT named Demon at the New York Auto Show. The company promises the model will be even more extreme than the Hellcat.
Technical details are few and far between. All we know at this point is that the Challenger Demon will most likely take the power crown from the 707-horsepower Hellcat. It could also receive a performance-tuned version of the Challenger GT's all-wheel drive system, though nothing is official at this point. Regardless, Ford's next Shelby GT500 has a powerful new opponent to battle for muscle car supremacy.
"Most cars attempt to be everything to everybody. Then there are the rare few that revel in a single objective, rendering them totally irresistible to a subculture. The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is conceived, designed and engineered for a subculture of enthusiasts who know that a tenth is a car and a half second is your reputation," explained Dodge boss Tim Kuniskis.
Dodge's announcement was accompanied by a teaser video (embedded below), but enthusiasts hoping to learn more about the Challenger SRT Demon will be deeply disappointed. Luckily, the flick is only the first chapter in a short video series that promises to highlight the Demon's development process. A new installment will go live every week until Dodge's next muscle car makes its official debut in the Big Apple.

Yes, I caught it early this morning getting ready for work, so I was half awake/sleep. I think it's just the diesel Ram trucks, right??

They are accused of failing to disclose software in some of its trucks & SUVs w/ diesel engines that allow them to emit more pollution than is allowed under the Clean Air act.
2014-16 jeep grand cherokees & Ram pickups with 3-litre diesel
engines.
The face 4.5 billion in fines (holy poops!)
...Fiats stock dropped $3billion overnight

Screenshots from the latest video Dodge released ... 0-60 in 3.0 seconds and the 1/4-mile in 10.5 @ 129 mph?
Also, the 7:57 time on the screen ... 757 has been shown in another video they released, supposedly hinting at the HP number for this thing ...

I don't think I'm going to like the looks of it though with the fender flares. It's pretty much a drag car that can be street driven.

I use to have a few heavy performance cars. Olds 442, Hurst Olds... There is nothing like a really quite on the inside and lots of room fast car..
It will be my next car.. There is a reason they are selling a ton of these cars

The Hellcats are fast and roomy. I could care less about the room personally, (I know others might need the room). Actually,...they're very fast. Look at how quick the Demon is,......same engine. (So, that potential is there for the Hellcats.) But not sure about gearing and suspension as being the same.
I would LOVE to own a Hellcat. (Everyday I get closer and closer to ordering one.) The ONLY thing holding me back from ordering in late April is the supercharger issue. (And it depends on my trade-in value as well. I'm not going to just give the Roush away.) Once that gets resolved, which is being addressed quickly by Dodge as I type this, I'll probably be getting one.
It's an IHI issue, but it really comes to Dodge as Dodge uses IHI as third party to build and supply the supercharger for the Hellcats.
I'm waiting and waiting for GT500 news, but crickets!

The GT 500 has to be a competitive car in HP at least.
I will wait and see...

I almost bought a special addition SRT a few years ago. Dealers had them on the lot for 2 years. So they had to start discounting them alot.
