back in the day it was stuff the biggest motor in the cheapest car they produced at one time. performance was bare bones and raw. stuff today is nice and fluffy but weigh too much imo. The new challenger is really nice looking but pig heavy.

I would take a '12 Challenger Yellow Jacket over the Bee though.

I understand the retro references, but for some of us of a certain age, or of slightly stealthier inclinations, a down down option would be nice rather than having to go for the full-on clown show to get the zesty mechanical bits. I loved the Bullett models for that reason: Steve McQueen in a tasteful black turtleneck rather than Rodney Dangerfield in a Zoot Suit.
I'm not that old but I completely agree. I would love to have a normal option for all of what the Boss offers regardless of heritage. I like what people have said about a 2014 Bullitt on the forum. Highland green, no spoiler, GT500 rear, Boss front with an empty grille, Brembo Track Pack, Recaro Seats, Boss intake, unique exhaust, Boss shifter. It'd be nice to option a rear seat delete with cross brace. Gunmetal wheels. I'd trade Boss privilege for that.

I guess that's what drew me to the newer Boss LS. Black and sterling with subdued striping. Even the yellow I like. I like the current Competition Orange because I'm a big Oklahoma State fan. I can't rid myself of orange. The others just don't appeal to me for some reason. I never thought grabber blue would become as cool as it is and now I'm a fan but I still don't see myself in those colors.

Before my mustang I had a Sublime Daytona charger #143 o 1500 they're sick cars. The interior was really cool with the green tied in and all. Just wish they came with manual trannys. Might have never traded her in... plan on getting a challenger srt8 down the road while keeping the stang. Maybe by the time I'm ready they'll have one with a 426 in it =D

I've had wayyyyyyyyy more problems with my mustang than my old R/T

You do realize that dodge launched the daytona and superbee editions with their wild colors to commemorate the muscle cars of the sixties and seventies right? Loosen your bow tie bud.

My only problem with Chargers and Challengers is the cheap interior.

This is embarassing.

Personally I found my charger to be far nicer than my gtcs inside. I mean, it's an American car. We're not talking about Aston martins guy

True, but even my '94 Camry has a higher quality interior than most new Chryslers (at least those Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep cars before Fiat took over).

Love the new rear tail lamp treatment, hate the new C-pillar and rear quarter changes. The previous body style was broad-shouldered and tough looking (look at fastduo's pic of his 2007). This new one seems weaker looking to me...IMO.

Idk, I've kinda stopped caring about the interior. To me as long as the seats are comfortable and it doesn't have the same interior at a Hyundai accent I'm good with it. Go over show IMO...

Nice car. I understand that we all have our favorites AND that you also own a great car...the Boss 302 also! Best of luck.

I drive a 2013 Dodge charger for work and its the model with the 370 HP. It's a quick car but feel my modded 11 v6 mustang pulls harder and can take it in the 1/4 mile. now this of course would be a stock 13 charger hemi. I don't know much about the srt8 model now,

I used to have a 07 Sublime Daytona R/T. Chargers are long legged. The highway is their natural habitat. Mustangs are more of a out of the hole car. Trust me, if you lined the two up from a 70 roll you'd ****. The srt8 has 465 on motor, I'm at about 380 on motor. The RT might have been a closer run but I still think it would have pulled on me. I was really blown away by that srt though. Literally like he left me from a light. It was nuts. ....... Are you a state trooper? Lol

I'm a county cop. The 13 Charger pulls hard when doing 70 and you floor it but for some reason I think my 11 V6 seems to pull harder. Or at least it feels to pull harder. Now of course my 11 v6 is far from stock and guessing with my mods I'm around 350 to the crank. I have no idea what the stock standard gearing is in the 13 Charger with the Hemi engine. I have 3:73 gears in my pony,it seems to shoot off the line a bit harder and faster acceleration than the Charger I drive with 370 HP. Then the 11 plus mustangs really shine once they hit 4k rpm's and the car pulls great and feels quicker than the Charger. Of course with 3:73 gears and crusing at 70 mph I'm already around 2300 k rpm's .

Now in all fairness my 11 v6 is far from stock however its all bolt on mods and no F.I. I don't think my pony would destroy the 13 Charger , 370hp by any means but would take the win in a 1/4 mile race with my 3k in mods.

Yea man the chargers have like 2.67s in the rear. The new v6 mustangs are pretty badass. I was talking to a guy that builds a lot of fords and he said they're similar to the 2JZs in supras. He put a turbo on one and upgraded the auto trans and it ran mid 10s. LXs run slow in the 1/4 for the most part. I've seen some fast ones but they have HUGE traction issues. There's a guy with a SRT8 300 at the track I go to. Procharged. Full boot. He fought for grip out to 800', like he was sideways when it hit 2nd at like 500'. Insane power. They just don't have the gears for short distances.
