Steeda triple pass heat exchanger installed!

I bought a Steeda triple pass heat exchanger over the Labor Day weekend. It was back ordered and I finally got it installed on Sunday. Thought I would share some pics in case someone is curious about pump mounting, hose routing, etc. Took me the better part of a day since I took many breaks to take care of my new puppy and because I thought the IC pump died but it only needed to be burped of air from the system.

Old Whipple HE with fans that I added later and Steeda triple pass HE with dual Spal fans. The dual Spal fans will grab and hold a small towel if you throw it in front of the HE. You can really hear these fans.

Good job. This was one I considered before I bought the VMP that's scheduled for install tomorrow night, along with a couple other small items.

What screen did you use in front of it?

I thought about the VMP unit and the two are similar. It came down to which one I can save the most money on. Steeda had their 20% off sale for Labor Day and that was a no brainer for me. Got it for $599.96.

The screen in front is a piece of gutter guard you can pick up from Lowes or Home Depot. I painted it black and it's held on by rivets.
