After reading your original post and those of others it reaffirms my opinion that some people should not own cars, let alone Mustangs. A 2005 on the wholesale market is probably in the range of $6500-8500.00 in a clean solid condition but if probably cost you that amount in your labor to fix it up. The original owner should be happy to have $1000.00 considering the vehicle's condition. Good job on getting this Mustang clean and back to its original condition. Should be worth a few dollars now. To bad there is no screening process to determine the attitudes of consumers.

I bought mine in 2005 and it looks better than when it was in the showroom.

Soooo it was raining all morning. My Wife calls and asks me to bring her work keys to her. I get in the car and as soon as I touch the gas water POURS like a waterfall from behind the glove box. I mean it isn't a drip, or a stream. If I poured a bucket upside down, that's what it looked like.

I think it's the cabin filter. I understand there is a plug in there for water to drain, and based on what I've seen of this car so far, I'm assuming that plug is clogged. I'll find out tomorrow. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Always love to see that. I have been selling cars for a little over a year now so I'm just starting to see return customers. The condition some of these people bring these cars back in... and I know what it looked like a year ago. It just astounds me.

Just bought another one a 2007 Mustang GT, it needs a bit of work and will look better once it is off the dealers lot.

So this is the water dripping. Sorry for the awful video quality. I'd estimate about 3 inches of water in my passenger side floor board right now. This is not the waterfall at it's worst either.

Yep, that's most likely the drain they talk about on the pax side. Clean it and it'll be ok to go.

The car was so filled with crap, wouldn't surprise me if you found more panties in there... Wear gloves, man.

Do you know anything about it? I did some searching yesterday and saw a couple people that have had that issue in the past, but I'm hoping somebody will have a link with some good pics of how to fix it. If not, I suppose I could always figure it out and post a write up.

I'd get a tetanus shot after cleaning that Mustang. Can't be too safe.

So the customer actually saw her car today, I had told her a while back I might buy it and try to restore it. She was like, "is that my car?" Yep, it was. I said to her, "you didn't tell me about the massive waterfall behind the glove box"

She goes, oh yea it does that, actually hey now that you have the car you should probably know the trunk leaks too and the car makes a funny sound from the rear when you get going fast.

She makes a funny irritable sound just by opening her mouth.

So this thread is about to slow down a lot as I have to spend money on christmas. The body work is going to have to wait until January because that isn't something I can do on my own.

I do however want to paint the calipers. Thinking red, black, or blue. Red is done regularly and while black would be cool I don't think it'll be visible really. Suggestions?
