Ive got an 09 gt/cs which came with HIDs. I converted the front end over to the Shelby using the all ford kit available from A.muscle. The new Shelby kit uses older style headlights "halogens" and i was wondering if anybody has figured out how to use the HID components in the older style headlight assemblies, or If there's a kit available that uses new parts vs. the stuff that came off my car please let me know. There's an aweful lot of chinese junk kits out there and its hard to know whats good and whats not! Thanks.

You can get HIDs with the Shelby lights but you'd have to buy them.

I don't think there's another way to do it.

But the I believe the '07 was the only GT500 not to come with HIDs

I 'd think that the GT and Shelby would use the same ballasts & connectors, but the best plan is to look up the part numbers for each. If they're the same then all you should have to do is swap out the buckets and then connect your factory harness up to them. I found a couple of the buckets on eBay:
