Airbag light
I have a airbag light that flashes and then stays on.
I checked the connectors under both seats, nothing loose.
I also check the SJB in the pass footwell, its dry.
FWIW, I do have the convertible switch installed in the SJB, tech always hate that.
Car has 30k miles and is 39 months old.
Does the airbags fall under a different warranty than the 3/36?
In other words, is this a warranty issue or a out of pocket issue?
Thanks.

Your car is out of warranty by time, most likely they will not cover the problem, unless they choose to help you out with an After Warranty Adjustment. Sometimes the service manager will choose to help out certain customers if they see that the car has been serviced at that dealer since new and was bought there new. It is up to the service manager to make that decision though.

I had the problem when my 2008 was about 6 months old. They told me the driver side seatbelt tensioner harness was loose and they said they fixed that. Couple days later, the light comes back on. Then they replaced the driver side airbag. No light since then.
Don't know if you need a new side airbag or not. But i be that's not cheap.

I had the same problem a few months after I bought mine new. The air bag light would come on but not all the time at first. Then it would come on and stay on. I took it in and at first they told me the wire harness under the passenger seat was too short and the connector was pulling loose. They "fixed" it but a few days later the light came back on again. The final fix was they had to replace the passenger side air bag.
