Which clutch should i get?

If my McLeod clutch is faulty, I'm gonna have to get a new one, And I won't go with McLeod, so any recommendations on a good clutch that will leave me room for future mods?

A spec stage 2 good for alot of power and a good feel from what I hear. my brother had one on a 465 rwhp supercharged gt and didn't have any problems and it lasted up until he sold it. Don't kno bout how long lasting they are because the guy he sold it to was racing it without proper tune for bigger pulley and blew it up just weeks after he bought it.

McLeod is the best clutch out there. Maybe you just got a lemon setup. Spec is ok, but I've read about a lot of issues if you don't get just the right one. You'd need to do some research on it. Also, Ram and Exedy make good clutches. Personally, I've had a lot of good luck with Exedy clutches.

I have a centerforce dual friction setup. I've used it on my last two 'stangs and never had a problem. Only issue if you get stuck in a traffic jam for an hour and a half the pedal effort starts to get "heavy"

Center force is not bad for a fox. Spec makes a good kit for every hp range. Make sure and get a ford racing tob. Heard bad things about every other tob.

I've had both SPEC and McLeod clutches and I'd go with McLeod over SPEC any day. The setup I loved was the Maximum Motorsports quadrant/firewall adjuster with the McLeod stage 2. I never liked the pedal feel on the SPEC nor the way it bit. Both SPEC and McLeod setups were in the same car. I've heard the king cobra is too harsh for normal street driving but I've not tried it.

The funny thing is, they pulled out my McLeod, which was still new, swapped it out for another new McLeod, same kind (super street pro), and now it feels totally different! The first one felt too soft in the pedal.

We sell Ram clutches which have been great cluthes for the Fox Mustang. If you are looking to put some extra mods on down the road, then this clutch can handle up to 550HP. If you want to combine this with our Clutch Adjuster kits then those are 20% off as well.

Here is the clink for the Ram clutch. They truley are some great pieces.

Give us a call, use our chat feature, or respond if you have any questions.
