In a few short weeks at the famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Ford, in association with Gooding & Company, will auction off one of the most eagerly anticipated cars of the year, a 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. Due to the car’s popularity and the worthy cause to which the money will go, Ford is expecting the car to fetch quite a bit of money.

According to Ford, the GT350 will be sold to help support the Military Service Initiative. That program aims to help those military veterans that served in the armed forces since 9/11. The charity not only helps the veterans get back on their feet after coming home, but provides assistance to their families as well. That’s a worthy organization to which to contribute and so are those who gave so much to protect our freedom to enjoy the 526 horsepower that comes from under the hood of the GT350.

Gooding & Company is expecting the new Mustang Shelby GT350 to go for around $75,000-$100,000, which is about twice its sticker price. However, there’s always a chance there will be a few interested buyers in the room that will propel that price even higher. Jay Leno, who hopes his star power will keep auction attendees bidding, will auction off the car.
