Everything You Hate About Craigslist Buyers

Craigslist Is the Home of Low-Ballers and Stupid Trades, and We Sadly Have to Live Among These People

There’s a good chance you’ve used Craigslist at some point or another, either to buy or sell your Mustang, or parts for it. Crawling out from the woodwork is every hotshot who thinks he can get a good deal with a low-ball offer. Thankfully, the guys from Car Bros have taken that frustrating sequence of events, and given us something to laugh at.

Low-ball offers are something we kind of expect. Every person with a keyboard in front of them will shoot you an email asking if you’d be willing to take at least 70% off your asking price. Completely irrespective if you put “PRICE IS FIRM!!!” in the description. Eyes somehow always seem to miss that critical part of an advertisement.

Meeting a buyer at a set location is the next hurdle, after you’ve vetted them as a serious customer. Time zones seem completely irrelevant, as you’ll have to make sure your entire day is set aside for when they are free. It’s nearly like dealing with a cable company.

By the time you meet them, you realize they have no idea what they are getting themselves into. Performance parts only serve to accentuate this. Just when you think a deal is made, your prospective buyer tries to low-ball you again. NEXT!
