Early On-Road Review of 2015 Mustang Leaks Out
The IMBC member, who was transporting the new Mustang from Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant to Ford Racing, apparently first shared his driving impressions of the car on Mustang6G with photos, according to an Auto Evolution report.
The new Mustang “is a massive improvement over the current car in terms of the way it drives down the road. The new IRS soaked up bumps that would severly challenge a Mustang with a live axle,” he said.
WMUCarGuy added that, “the shifter is really mechanical and notchy, much moreso than the current car, which I really liked. Steering response was the best of Mustangs with EPAS that I’ve driven.”
His comments about the interior note that it’s, “a big improvement in fit/finish, and the materials was great”, although the cabin still had “a few pre-production parts”.
The original link to WMUCarGuy’s post at Mustang6G has since been removed, probably at the request of some top Ford official. But we certainly appreciate the insight in what will likely be the first of many more good reviews to come on the new pony car.
