Matt Farah Runs a ’69 Mustang Though the Canyons

1969 Ford Mustang Convertible

Yeah, sure we already heard all the raves about how the new Shelby GT350 handles in the California canyons, and also those about the standard sixth-gen model of the Ford pony car for that matter.

But what’s it like tackling some of those crazy twists in a 1969 convertible Mustang housing a stroked 302 cubic inch V8 with 340 horsepower and mated to a 4-speed manual and a 3.70 Positraction rear end?

Well, inquiring minds wanted to know. Okay, more specifically, our friend Matt Farah, host of The Smoking Tire, wanted to know.

Either way, as you can see in the video below, it definitely makes for an interesting 13-minute episode of TST’s popular “One Take” series. In the long-standing series, Farah takes a fan’s car out for a spin while that fan sits shotgun and tells the car’s story.

In this episode, overall, Farah seems pretty impressed with the car. But you get the sense he’d much rather be pushing the Shelby GT350 in those Canyons than that ’69 classic Mustang.
