Behold, the Galpin Rocket in Black
We were pretty excited when we first saw the custom 725-horsepower Mustang developed by Galpin and Fisker at the Los Angeles Auto Show (which we covered on this site), but the Galpin Rocket looks even better – and downright sinister – in black.

A lot of its custom design cues, such as its hexagonal grille, have a much more menacing street presence in black. The car also looks more like a Mustang now than an Aston Martin Vantage, by which the custom S550 was heavily influenced. That makes sense. The Rocket was created by a collaborative effort with Henrik Fisker.
The silver paint finish known as Éminence Grise that’s available on the Galpin Rocket is perfect for a show car. However, the all-black treatment is much more fitting for a production model.
Still, the true beauty of the Galpin Rocket lies under the hood: a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that pushes all the power. Other unique features on the custom carbon fiber-bodied Mustang include large scoops in the hood, sculpted and flared fenders, and a front splitter, all of which are functional.
