Autoblog Rates GT350 Second in Editors’ Choice … IT WAS BEATEN BY WHAT?

Ford Mustang at the 2014 LA Auto Show (12)

While the Los Angeles Auto Show has come and gone, we still fondly remember the lack of real performance announcements from the makes except for two: Ford and Cadillac. Autoblog set out to have its editors pick their five favorites and prove, once again, the world has become dull. However, they did rank the 2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 second in their list, but you’ll be shocked to see what beat it.

How can you really beat this idea? The flat-plane crank, 500-plus horsepower, proper-wheel drive (rear-wheel drive if you can’t figure that out), and of course, the shape of the 2015 Ford Mustang that has been enhanced to improve its looks, weight, and make it different from the GT. It makes you wonder how it was beat. It has to be something so exotic, so amazing that it will blow your socks off, right?

No. The Autoblog editors number-one choice for the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show is a crossover. The 2016 Mazda CX-3, a car, er, crossover that looks like the mix of a Mini Countryman, Infiniti FX35 and a Mazda 6. Come on, really? Don’t get me wrong: it’s the best-looking crossover in a while, and it does come with some performance to boot, but still, how can this beat a GT350? You disappoint me, Autoblog.
