950 hp ‘Mitsubishi Mustang’?

It’s a common saying that opposites tend to attract. They certainly do make for the most interesting pairings.

The “Mitsubishi Mustang,” as it’s been dubbed by Dragzine, has pulled off personal bests of 5.39 at 135 mph in the 1/8th and 8.45 at 160 mph in the ¼, according to a Dragzine.com report. Jesse Abele dyno’d his Fox-body Ford dragster at 950hp after dropping in a 122ci 4G63 Mitsubishi motor.

First introduced in the U.S. in ’89, the 4G63 Mitsubishi motor was developed in partnership with the Chrysler Corporation.
