1979 Fox Body Mustang Commercial is Awesome

It has “epic,” written all over it: Steve Miller Band is playing in the background, there’s a running Mustang (horse) and the new-for-1979 Ford Mustang rolling down the road. The commercial uses such catchphrases as; “dramatic sports-car styling”, “one of the most efficient aerodynamic designs of any car now built in America”, and “feel it slice through the wind.”  Wow.

The announcer calls attention to its modified MacPherson front suspension that “helps flatten corners”, while also calling attention to the V6, V8 and turbocharged four-cylinder engines, the 7.1-second sprint to 50 mph (yes, 50 mph) from a standstill, and an affordable price of $4342.

Rather than referring to the different body styles as the now commonly used “coupe” and “hatchback”, they note them as “two door” and “three door” … too funny.
